Ellen Golden
Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature, with minors in French and Music,
from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. She went on to earn her JD from Emory University School of Law in 1978. After clerking for a federal judge and working for the U.S.
Department of Labor, Ellen concentrated on corporate, real estate, and health law with a Wall Street firm.
Later, as an appellate litigator working for an international insurance company, she taught
legal writing skills to other attorneys. Ellen’s interest and community involvement in education include having served on the Scarsdale Executive Committees of the PTA and Young Writers’ Conferences, on the Legislative Advisory Committee to the Scarsdale Board of Education, and as a parent member of Committees on Special Education. She and her family hosted
a student from Memphis, TN, during the year he attended Scarsdale High School, as part
of STEP (Student Transfer Education Program). |
